You also dont have to over inflate your site with images to be aesthetically pleasing. Imagery can bloat file sizes which causes pages to load slow. Slow loading pages causes visitors to leave, which isn't the objective we strive for when designing websites.

Smaller, basic websites (no databases) : These are the easiest to get the highest conformity with, so in most instances, there is no reason why it can't perform to the best standards.
Larger, more interactive website : Unfortunately there are a lot of old scripts on the Internet that don't perform to todays standards. During our design career we have attempted to use many. Even with current updated scripts, there are imperfections in each one. Sometimes a script will have to be custom made, or the best of what's available be used, which can often prove very expensive. One way to have an interactive website is to include a message/discussion board on your site, where visitors can leave messages, read messages left by other visitors and interact with you and the other visitors. Discussion boards are an ideal addition for support services. If your support department is busy, it gives members of the forum the chance to provide answers to others. Coupled with a mailing list, blog or newsletter, it can provide the ideal customer support sytem, and clients will always appreciate that!
Discussion Boards are a great way of offering 24hr support services for you products. Forums organize discussion on various issues, themes, topics and subjects. They are typically comprised of one or more discussion boards, each of them divided into categories. Each category is then divided into topics, each topic is discussed through various postings. Discussion board access can be open to the general public (open forum) or reserved to registered community members or any selected group of people (private forum). You may require only a limited number of discussion boards and categories or you may want your administrator to be able to increase the number of discussion boards and categories without limitation.
